We gave shape to our Folfer chair ( chaise Folfer ) by collecting inspiring objects of recovery. From these objects, sketches were realized, being inspired by photos of chairs of renowned designers, to get an idea of departure nevertheless very remote from the consulted photos. From flat radiators of refrigerators, we made curved forms. These radiators constitute linear levelled masses. At the same time, from skis (flat-linear masses) we formed two convex linear masses. The Folfer chair ( chaise Folfer ) is constituted by linear-convex shapes which create a harmony, a set, a whole. The contrast skis-radiators of refrigerator seemed to the designers interesting from the beginning. The final, very stretched out shape, invites us to sit down, stretch our legs and relax.
